The Kowalah Agent is an AI-powered team member that lives in your chat tools. Mention @Kowalah in any conversation, and it can explore your projects, create initiatives, submit Expert Requests, and provide insights about your AI program.

What it can do

The Agent has access to your organization’s full workspace. Depending on your role, it can: All roles:
  • List and explore projects, initiatives, tasks, risks, and Expert Requests
  • Summarize project status and progress
  • Answer questions about your AI program
  • Create draft initiatives (at the idea stage)
  • Create Expert Request drafts
Core team and admin:
  • Create and update tasks, risks, and decisions
  • Update initiative details and milestones
  • Add stakeholders to projects and initiatives
Admin only:
  • Create and update projects
  • Manage project stakeholders
  • Update Expert Request status and assignments

How it works

When you @mention Kowalah in a thread:
  1. The Agent acknowledges your message within seconds
  2. It reads your workspace context, including projects, initiatives, and recent activity
  3. It reasons about your request, potentially taking multiple steps to gather information
  4. It responds in the same thread with its findings or actions
Follow-up messages in the same thread continue the conversation. The Agent remembers the thread context, so you can build on previous messages without repeating yourself.

Permissions

The Agent checks your organization role before executing any action. If you’re a member, you can read everything but can only create drafts. The Agent won’t offer actions that your role doesn’t allow. Different people in the same thread can have different permission levels. The Agent checks each person’s role independently.
