The learner app at training.kowalah.com is where you take part in a training day. It’s built for your phone. This page is for attendees and walks through each tab.

Today

Your agenda for the day. Each session shows the time, the course or activity, and the facilitator, room, and group. All-hands moments like the kickoff, lunch, and finale appear alongside your group’s sessions. A small icon shows each session’s modality:
IconModalityWhat it means
FacilitatedFacilitatedLed by a trainer at the front
Hands-onHands-onYou’ll be building or trying things yourself
Self-pacedSelf-pacedWork through it at your own speed
If you don’t see sessions yet, your schedule hasn’t been published, it’ll appear once it is.

Claude Scale

The Claude Scale is a 1-10 self-assessment of how confident and capable you are with AI. It’s the headline measure of how far you move during the training. You rate yourself at three points:
  1. Before the course — your starting point. Do this first; it unlocks the others.
  2. Mid-day check-in — around lunch, where are you right now? (One per day on multi-day events.)
  3. After the course — your finishing point.
Drag the slider to where you are. Each level has a short descriptor (for example, “L5 Has a workflow”) so you can pick honestly. Once you’ve recorded your before and after, the app shows your progression, for example “Overall shift: 5 → 8 (+3)”.
Be honest with your “before” rating. The lift is the point, and there are no marks for starting high. Your individual scores are used to show overall movement across the cohort, not to rank you.

Knowledge Check

Short quizzes that confirm the learning landed, grouped by module (for example, M1 · Why AI needs training). Work through at your own pace, answers save as you go.
  • After you answer, you’ll see which option was correct and a short teaching note.
  • You can retry a module as many times as you like until it clicks. We keep your first attempt score, and retrying just clears your answers so you can go again.
  • Each module has a pass mark (80% by default). Passing the required modules in a course is what marks the course complete.
You can see your progress as a count, for example “3/5 modules”, towards completing your courses.

The Hotel

Kowalah courses are set in a narrative world (a fictional hotel, for example) with a cast of characters. The Hotel tab is the lore for the day, the people you’ll meet in the scenarios and exercises. It’s there for colour and context; nothing to complete.

Feedback

Two minutes to tell us how the training landed. It shapes the next session. Everything is optional:
  • How likely are you to recommend this training? (0-10) — your NPS rating
  • Confidence before and Confidence after (1-5)
  • Pace (1 slow - 5 fast) and Trainer (1-5)
  • Hours you expect to save per week — a number
  • Your top use case — what you’ll go and do with this
  • Most useful thing today, one thing we could improve, and anything else
Your hours-saved estimate and NPS feed the impact figures your leaders see in Training reports.

AI Literacy Award

Your badges and certificate. Badges unlock as you complete the programme, organised into tiers. Under Your courses you’ll see each course you attended, your module progress, and, once issued, a link to your certificate. If a course is complete but the programme hasn’t been closed out yet, you’ll see “Certificate pending”, your certificate is issued when Kowalah closes out the programme.
